Hi,
Same issue with Fritz 13 GUI. The message is: 0xc000007b (in German: "Die Anwendung kann nicht richtig initialisiert werden").

Same with Hiarcs CE 1.8 and Arena 3.0, in the latter one with the error- code you gave too.
DS12 says "this is not an UCI- engine", Hiarcs as well, DF14 simply doesn't install.
No .dll- file in unzipped folder.

Win7 Prox64.

This engine works for me in F13, and Arena.
It does not work in HCE, because after sending isready, the engine will respond with readyok, so HCE is also waiting.

I can make it work in HCE however by using the AquariumBookAdapter. The ABA successfully communicated with the HCE interface.

It seems this engine is manipulating the priority and cpu affinity.

There are more than 20 module/dll files associated when this engine runs.

Same error message in w32 XP --the application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b)

Alfil 15.4 is working (using windows installer) Alfil 15.4 w32 exe file size is 163 kb

Alfil 15.7 gives error message w32 exe file size is 2.42 mb
portable engine file, engine only file and windows installer all not working.....

A response from the top of a nice mountain ( and a superb night):

Alfil 15.7 needs .NET Framework 4.5 version. Windows XP îs incompatibile with this version !

Alfil sources are available here. The last version is 15.8.16 (16th August, 2015) and there are many variable names in Spanish.

Probably you or someone else can compile Alfil for Linux from sources. Good luck.
