Quickest way to win in Chess ?

Post by Henk »

Sometimes you don't have much time and want a game to end as quickly as possible. But you also want to win. What to do ?

Perhaps start with a most aggressive but sound chess opening ? But which one would that be ? Other ideas ?

Certainly gambits are best when you want a quick kill.
Of course the strength of your opponent relative to your own
strength has to be considered. If he is a stronger player but generally
a dumber person than you are, and he is also in a hurry to finish the
game, then here's the plan: Play a gambit, bring a few pieces out,
sacrifice a couple of them, then make a move, call out "mate in six",
and sit back with your arms folded. It's worth a try!
