I'm waiting for the Scisys "Chess traveller " because it was the first chess engine I bought in 1980

Well, you don't have to wait very long - just today I'm working on this module.

This driver is in MESS as 'Acetronic Chess Traveller', but exactly the same device was produced by SciSys and Novag as 'Chess Champion - Pocket Chess', so I'll implement it as Novag machine.

I'm almost finished with it, made a nice artwork and again an extra chessboard, but I still have to fix a display problem while the engine is thinking (it's almost the same problem as for the MK I).

Since you have (or had) this computer - I've a question for you:
it seems that this machine displays the level number (in higher levels) while it is thinking, but is this number displayed continuously or does it blink at any rate (e.g. once every second)?

Another friend has just tested it on his device, and he said that this level display does not blink,
so I let it display permanently (while the engine is thinking) in the driver.

So here's the next update nr. 3 for CB-Emu with a new device: Novag Chess Champion Pocket Chess

No, sorry.
NPS infos are only rarely available for those old chess computers, because most of them didn't even have the feature to show this value.
