I think it confuses (1)computers overtaking human intelligence, with (2)consciousness and takeover.Sean Evans wrote:http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/why ... 940169ccff
even if (1) happens which I am sceptical (2) does not follow

Damned ! This positions again ??!!Sean Evans wrote:http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/why ... 940169ccff
This test has no point : the current top engines are optimized to play usual games. Asking a strong engine to solve a study is like asking a race car to fly. Very little effort has been put in solving studies compare to play games. Sting-SF is the current most advanced engine to solve studies but the source is close to the original SF.

would sting-sf solve it ? and if it could solve it and still have an elo over 2900 making it better than the best human, then it would be truly pointless.Vinvin wrote:Damned ! This positions again ??!!Sean Evans wrote:http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/why ... 940169ccff

For this position, even original top engines play the correct move : http://www.talkchess.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=63438duncan wrote:would sting-sf solve it ? and if it could solve it and still have an elo over 2900 making it better than the best human, then it would be truly pointless.Vinvin wrote:Damned !
