I dropped Anton an email a couple of months ago inquiring about his plans. He promptly responded and assured me that he intended for there to be a TCEC Season 10. However he was unspecific concerning timing. Apparently TCEC's sources of funding are insufficient to cover the capital and labor expenses the tournament generates and this poses a challenge.
The lack of official communication is, obviously, not encouraging and does not help the brand. I refer you to Martin Thoresen's cri de cœur. I share many of his laments. But of course if the season happens I will serve in my customary role.

I was amazed at how much time you seemed to be spending every day moderating TCEC. If you and otherse were being paid for all that, then of course, that would rightly cost a lot!
