Hi Norbert, thanks for sharing the link!
Would someone mind trying the exe to confirm that it works? It's okay from wine on GNU/Linux but I don't have access to a real Windows.
(P.S. littlewing v0.3.0 should arrive soon, but it'll still be a very weak engine)

The new version 0.3.0 is indeed out!
Still weaker than my previous engine Purple Haze (rated at around 1900 ELO) but getting there. The TODO list is full, the goal is to get to 1900 ELO by the next release and past 2000 ELO for the next one.
But the focus is mainly on learning rust (its programming language) and writing a cool text user interface to play with the engine (see the dev version on github for that).
I should add that I'm writing the engine with lots of unit testing and cutechess-cli running in the cloud, so even if it's not strong, it's pretty stable. It could be useful for new chess engines in cluster testing.

I don't plan on updating it in the future, except if a bug is reported. Though I'm rather fond of the name, so there's a possibility at some point for littlewing to become the new purplehaze.

No problem. I thought it might be a case of colour blindness due toSzG wrote:Guenther wrote: Thanks. I look but can't see.
OMG! I wanted to express that I had been blind not to see what was in front of my eyes.
I have already downloaded the executable.
Apologies for the misunderstanding.

Yeah the contrast between the text and the background is a bit too low for the web, sorry about that. I like that solarized color scheme when I'm coding but the next version of this website will probably go back to the regular black on white!Guenther wrote:No problem.
