Thanks.
I am going to snoop through your code right away.
I hope for a Andscacs victory in TCEC 10.

Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

That discussion was about that an engine can not make continuously large elo steps in short time and be original. That has nothing to do with open source.

Re: MacOS exe
Hi!
I was asked about a problem with the Mac compile, but I have no idea about the problem. Maybe someone? Many thanks:

Re: MacOS exe
it looks like a missing symbol in stdc++ library.
is the software linked usign -static?
is the library present on the system reporting the crash?

otherwise best bet may be to try compiling yourself...
the option for macOS is -static-libstdc++

Re: Andscacs - New version 0.921 with source
I removed the WinGroupAffinity stuff from the source, just for if. Also a nice guy from tcec forum tried it and seems that don't work stable with more than 64 cores with this option active. When I have one of such machines if ever, I will trycdani wrote:About the license, Elcabesa just told me that the WinGroupAffinity part of the code taken from Stockfish is incompatible with public domain license. Maybe the best is to remove it from Andscacs. In fact nobody is using it that I know. What do you think about? Thanks.tttony wrote:Cool!
The source has no license so I guess it's under public domain?
I just added it if I remember well when Ipmanchess asked to test Andscacs with more than 64 cores, I think.
And also I have put a commentary about an idea taken from Discocheck that probably I removed when cleaning the code to publish it. Daniel Anulliero asked about the code and I reliazed later.

I am really impressed with Andsacs in the TCEC so far. Its undefeated. Its going to be exciting to see how it does in the next rounds. Its a really tough dark horse so far.
Advanced Micro Devices fan.
