Norman, I quickly tested the popcount version in Arena with very fast time control matches and the engine becomes unresponsive after a couple of moves and loses on time. I don't have this problem with Fire 6.1
I'll test some more with longer time controls and report back

Thanks for letting me know Carlos-

Well I upgraded the Visual Studio Windows SDK since version 6...maybe that's the issue.
Give me some time and I'll create some new compiles to see how they work.

When ready I'll create a new thread so as not to take over Guenther's new release thread...
