Thanks Milos. I hope your prediction of improvement can be confirmed, it has been so often that self-play suggested too optimistic expectations.

If you look at how different versions of Xiphos have climbed this ratings list - http://fastgm.de/60-0.60.html then it's fair to say that version 0.4 will do very well. It should be closing in on Laser 1.6 and Booot 6.3.1 very fast. It may even over take them.

did you try and disable tbs for Ethereal when running your match against Xiphos? Xiphos does not support tbs...
