a few remarks:

the hardware is a slow ATOM CPU netbook.
i think the best thing one can do with this netbook is, that it runs dos !
it makes fun to run old dos chess engines on it.
such as gandalf 2.1.

it is said that gandalf 2.1 uses 1 ply brute force plus extensions. so almost / nearly b strategy.
of course pure b strategy would also prune in the first ply.
