Which of these to use with a Ryzen chip? He cites the -modern version in the bench, but if it's for Haswell forward, doesn't that have bmi2 isntructions?

I sent Frank an update which includes a binary for Raspberry Pi 3b and 3 binaries for linux for different generation CPU's as explained in the updated release notes. There is no change to the Intel binaries. For AMD Ryzen as well as Intel Haswell and greater CPU's the "modern" binaries should be fastest. None of the binaries require bmi2 as Wasp doesn't use bmi2 instructions. I will consider making some or all of the parameters in the wasp.rc file UCI options in a future version. But for now, the wasp.rc file can be edited as desired to try creating a new personality.

Hi there,

I added the update on my site.

Sure, a lot of chess experts download the first file.
The second file has the addition "fix".

Both can be found now, more easy for all the chess experts where download the first file.
The chess expert have interest to download _the first time_ need the fix file only (all is included).

The fix file can be found on two selection on my site:
1. In my download area
2. On Wasp news site.

Thanks John!

P.S. We all are experts and we all need "top secret" information daily. So we produced one to the end of the day!

Hi,

after I remember, in times the first versions of Wasp was available, John had no interest to offer a version for Android devices. Sure, such a version is interesting, maybe a future project for him. For the moment I believe he do enough because he had a very long time of development for the new version. 55 Elo more and all the changes was a lot of work.

Maybe the chess expert report the Linux problem can give us a message ... problem solved or not!
