Hi,
I saw in the configuration file that you can connect an opening book to Wasp(wasp.opn).
Where can we download it?
Best regards,
Antonio

Hi Antonio,
I asked John for minutes.
Not sure, secret or not.
John used different possibilities for optimization his own book.
One of all are my test / beta games with FEOBOS book v. 20.1.
Wasp can make own statistics to games for the opening book optimization in the own book format.
Best lines with best stats Wasp can play with his own book after very exactly generated statistics.
For that reason John need many games.
John like TCEC and a bit book tuning can give a small advantage, not a secret!
Possible that John hold the current Wasp opening book secret.
Never I offer in all the Wasp downloads on my site John's current opening book version.
Again, one way John goes with book tuning only ... means with FEOBOS v20.1 files.
Programmers I have contacts like the FEOBOS idea because the important material to all ECO codes will be included!
Let us wait of John's answere!
Thanks for your interest ...
OK, I await this question a long time.
Now we count the cost John ...
Antonio never misses a trick.
Best
Frank

Hi,
available on my site (have a look to my update text).
Or download the "fix" file and read the Wasp news on Wasp detail site.
I think in the next few days we can offer a new "Hot-News".
Topic will be: Opening Book in the own Wasp format.

Re: Wasp randomizing?
While doing some tests with various opponents vs. LC0 with a dist. NN11258, I noticed an
astonishing blunder in a Wasp game in one early middlegame.
I tried to investigate, if a hash problem or similar occurred, but I realized it is nearly
impossible to get similar searches at all with Wasp?
Even with feeding the whole game history manually, move per move, each analysis
changes moves/depths/evals and is quite different - very much more, than I have
ever seen with other programs. (ofc always with same settings too)
IIRC analysis mode was added not too long ago in Wasp. Either Wasp does some
randomizing or it treats analysis search or hash entries in analysis somehow different?
Has someone made similar experiences with Wasp 3.50?
I hope John can may be answer here.
