I have a basic question.
Other (AB) engines if they have a specific version number, always calculate the same. In the endgame and in the opening.

So, if I write a book for engine x version y for example, then the engine will play on the basis of my analyzes, as I had analyzed it!

But Leela is different. Leela is constantly learning new things. This boils down to the fact that I can not control Leela. After all, I'm just a spectator. What fun do I have then?

Are my thoughts right?

The search should be deterministic if you only use 1 thread.

No. The learning is in the NN, thus only if you change the NN file, you get something different.
If you once have a sufficiently good NN, which satisfies you and you stay with it, while working on your selfmade book, there is no problem you described.
(if I understood your question correctly...)
