DGT Centaur uses Stockfish DD (Stockfish 4.5)

Hello friends,

I read in a forum: The new chess computer DGT Centaur uses Stockfish DD (Stockfish 4.5)!
I would love to use this engine in Aart Bik´s great app - „Chess for Android“.

Question: Is there a android version of this engine? - or can somebody please compile such an engine for Android?

I installed it immediately in „Chess for Android“ and it seems to run. But I cańt set the UCI options and dont see the enginés name in the app???

Are you sure it is actually running? (I suspect you see an "engine exit" and then fall back to built-in engine).
This binary is non-PIE, which means that many Android versions will refuse to run the binary:

Indeed my Android is 4.1.2 - consistent with Aart's explanation.
Try to pick & choose from here then (thks to Gurcan)

Peter, just in case, note that these files are 7z compressed, so make sure to uncompress them first. Having said that, I don't think any of these binaries is in PIE format.

Hello Peter, yes it does (but Android 4.1.2).
A last chance for you Peter: I digged out the full download from which the DD engine I use came. And know what? Source is included!
So maybe a gentleman would be able to create a modern compile for you, not to forget others that could be interested in (sorry I have not the skills nor tools do to it).

Not sure this engine was used for DGT Centaur (and if so, adaptative feature would lack anyway) but I enjoy this Stockfish version as it was named in memory of Don Dailey, of Komodo fame.

On another forum it was confirmed that this is not the engine used in the Centaur.
