Ok, lets start with the best move out of the 3 which is 20.Qb1, here is what I have so far:
And your line seems to agree with what I recently posted:

20. Qb1 Nf3+ 21. Bxf3 Bxf3 22. a6 Ng4+ 23. Kg1 Bxf4 24. exf4 Nh6 25. Kh2 bxa6 26. bxc6 Qxc6

And we have

[d]r3r1k1/p4p2/p1q3pn/2Pp3p/3PpP2/2N2bPP/1R1B1P1K/1Q3R2 w - - 0 27

Cfish-dev currently shows:

Hi Louis,

After 27.Be3 I like 27...Ng4+ better than the Cfish-dev suggestion of 27...Kg7 for Black (it looks like an improvement over 27...Kg7). Of course I am open to the possibilties of any improvements on any of the lines I have posted so far. I think that 27.Qc1 is better than 27.Be3 or the 27.Qa2 that was in my analysis.

Give this position a try:

[d]r3r1k1/p4p2/p1q3p1/2Pp3p/3PpPn1/2N1BbPP/1R3P1K/1Q3R2 w - - 2 28

Hi Andrew,

It seems that Vincent's resurrection of old positions is summoning the faithful, so to speak.

I did a quick run with Cfish-dev, with Multi-PV = 2. So far, Kg7 remains on top, but I've made no attempt to analyze these lines. That's because I agree that 27. Qc1 seems like the move to analyze. See below for that.

-2.51 27... Kg7 28. f5 Nxf5 29. Qa2 Red8 30. Bf4 f6 31. h4 Nxd4 32. Rfb1 Rd7 33. Rd2 Nb5 34. Qb2 Rc8 35. Nxb5 axb5 36. Qxb5 Qxb5 37. Rxb5 d4 38. Ra5 Kf7 39. Be3 d3 40. Rda2 Rcc7 41. Ra6 Bg4 42. Be3 g5 58. hxg5 fxg5 59. Kg2 Kg4 60. Rba1 Rcc7 61. Rb1 (depth 52, 0:54:27)

-2.33 27... Ng4+ 28. hxg4 hxg4 29. Rh1 Kg7 30. Kg1 Rh8 31. Rh4 Rxh4 32. gxh4 Rh8 33. Ne2 Qf6 34. Rb8 Rxb8 35. Qxb8 Qxh4 36. Ng3 Qh3 37. Nh5+ Qxh5 38. Qe5+ Qxe5 39. dxe5 Kf8 40. c6 Ke8 41. Bxa7 a5 42. So, after Fischer's 19...Bg4, Cfish-dev prefers: 20. Qb1 Nf3+ 21. Bxf3 Bxf3 22. a6 Ng4+ 23. Kg1 Bxf4 24. exf4 Nh6 25. Kh2 bxa6 26. bxc6 Qxc6, leading to

[d]r3r1k1/p4p2/p1q3pn/2Pp3p/3PpP2/2N2bPP/1R1B1P1K/1Q3R2 w - - 0 27

and then Cfish-dev gave

-2.70 27. Qc1 Rab8 28. Nd1 Be2 29. Re1 Bxd1 30. Rxd1 Nf5 31. Be3 Rb5 32. Qc3 Reb8 33. Rxb5 axb5 34. Qb4 a6 35. Ra1 Ra8 36. Qa5 Kg7 37. Kg2 Ne7 38. Rb1 Qd7 39. Bd2 f6 40. Qc3 Kf7 41. Qa1 Qc6 42. Bc3 Nf5 59. Rb3 Re8 60. Rb1 e3 61. fxe3 Qxe3 (depth 55, 3:24:08)

Haven't looked further at this, but, in any case, it seems that Black will eventually work this to a win.

On the 27.Be3 Ng4+ line I have this from Stockfish:

OK, 27. Be3 loses.

Here's Cfish-dev's current alternative:

Looks like Cfish gets it wrong (for Black) with 27.Qc1 Rab8 28.Nd1? Nf5!? which of course wins, but the more forceful 28...Rxb2! is better which forces 29.Qxb2 (if 29.Nxb2 then 29...Qf6! wins quickly) followed by 29...Ng4+

It looks like an improvement for white instead of 28.Nd1? is to try 28.Be3. It also looks like Black can also try 27.Qc1 Qe6, but in Cfish's line 28.Nd1? definitely loses to 28...Rxb2!

I think my Cfish, and maybe my whole system, needs some downtime. Ten hour search and the third move of the PV is garbage ...

Vincent,

Here is a PGN of the research I have done with Stockfish of all 3 of the moves that you asked about. A lot of times I had to guide Stockfish on Black's moves and some of White's moves because it didn't understand (as most chess programs don't seem to understand) the position and therefore made seemingly (to me) inferior moves. Of course I am open to ANY suggested improvements for Black or White on any of the moves I have in this PGN, and of course any suggestions that are not in this PGN.
