Hi..rofChade 2.2 crashes under Fritz-Gui also on random times (ponder=Off)

It even blocks the Fritz-Gui ,have to close it via Taskmanarger for restarting it..then it can play like 100games error free, or in next 30games get 2 hangs?!

i don't think that these messages are the reason for the crashes @ Shredder Classic. Fizbo produces tons of error-messages @ Cutechess, for example "illegal move in pv" and so on ... but runs rock solid @ Shredder Classic with ponder=off/on.

I have downloaded a trial version of Shredder and a few tests with the bugfixed version, and I did not have a crash with Shredder, so the bug might be the cause of the problems...

I use cutechess and Arena myself, and I never have a crash with rofChade. I don't have the Fritz gui so I'm not familiar with it. Are there any error messages which can give an indication of the problem?

Hi Ronald,

did you get crashes with the regular RofChade 2.2 @ Shredder Classic too ?

Hi Gerhard,

I also got some crashes with version 2.2 so that is great... I also did another tournament with the bugfix version and this still didn't crash. So it seems the bugfix is working fine and the cutechess-cli warning is strange.. I will create a new version soon (2.202). Thanks for your involvement and for testing rofChade :D

Hi Ronald,

that sounds very good !
Is version 2.202 equally strong as version 2.0 ? I would like to use 2.202 for our CEGT 3'+1" ponder=on tests instead version 2.0 @ Cutechess.

Best wishes,

I really hope it's better than 2.0

Version 2.202 also contains a LMR tweak which should be around 10 elo stronger than 2.2.
