Is the BelFish question solved meanwhile?Joost Buijs wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 11:14 pm Tournament results:

In the last tourney ran by HGM in June, the account never answered questions about its origin
and it was set with default rating '(0)' and did 9-0 with McMahoon system...
People expected a different rating default for the next tourney and an answer.

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney October
It was stated in the finger notes for Belfish that it was a Stockfish derivative.
"1, StockFish derivative.
2: experimenting with evaluation function, with small techniques for speeding up code execution, with compiling options …"
It started yesterday with the default 2500 rating and the McMahon system was not used.

Belfish is from the same author as Phalanx and Eichhoernchen.
His finger notes say:
1: StockFish derivative
2: experimenting with evaluation function, with small techniques for speeding up code execution, with compiling options ...
3: running commonly unattended

Thanks for the info Joost, though Phalanx and Eichhoernchen have different authors.Joost Buijs wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2019 11:28 am Belfish is from the same author as Phalanx and Eichhoernchen.

I guess the Eichhoernchen author derivated Phalanx at some time too?
I will update the eternal table (after a long time again) for the on-line blitz tourneys.

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney October
This is very strange because Belfish, Eichhoernchen and Phalanx were registered by the same person.
According to CPW there were several different people working on Phalanx in the past. The last person working actively on Phalanx seems to be Dusan Dobes.

I certainly won't enter Lc0 again. The whole tournament probably took half an hour longer than it should have because of Lc0's ridiculous shuffling of pieces in the endgame.

Yes annoying long endgames. Otherwise have time control 3 minutes instead of 5.
Or better play without increments. Game can't go on forever. Adding fifty moves after each little pawn step.
