With all those memory channels, I was thinking of putting in 4 of these in it: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/gr ... 080-super/
Of course, just those four cards will pull a full kilowatt. So a big power supply is a must.
Not to mention, I will eventually want a couple hundred TB of disk.
The power company is already sending me notices and graphs showing me what a power hog I am.
Look! You're using twice as much electricity as your neighbors! Would you like us to help you learn how to conserve energy?

In the small print "Limit 2 per customer" ...sorry ,... but look at the money you will save on electric with "just" two ;>)

tell them it's for some scientific distributed computing project. Don't tell them it's for chess otherwise they will cut the power for useless waste of electricty
Nah just tell them you're running a micro-grow-op ..
I would never do that, but I think it is legal in Washington and Colorado. I guess you have to have some kind of permit, though.
It would probably be a much bigger deal in other places. Looks like it's legal in more places than I thought: https://disa.com/map-of-marijuana-legality-by-state
I don't think it is a good idea to use or make it, but it's none of my business anyway
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.
