1. g4 d5 2. g5 e5 3. d4 exd4 4. Nf3 c5 5. Bg2 Ne7 6. c3 dxc3 7. Nxc3 Nbc6 8. O-O d4 9. Ne4 Ng6 10. a3 Bg4 11. Bd2 Bd6 12. Rc1 O-O 13. Nxc5 Bxc5

My turn again.
OK, I've just entered Nxc5 Bxc5. Here's what my GUI shows after entering those moves. Of course, I've deleted the PV.

-1.64 (depth 69, 0:00:28)

So depth 69 takes less than 30 seconds, because Stockfish basically has the entire future game in hash---until some human surprises it.

I just repeated my original test: 30 SF self games after last move. After 1.g4 16/30 games were 0-1 and now from move from 14. it was 20/30. Not very convincing, so I think this will be draw. And indicate, that chess is draw even with suboptimal starting move! But thanks for very interesting game.

I hope that you save your engine output so you can post it when the game is over.
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

I'll try to save PVs when human moves deviate from Stockfish's choice. Really hasn't happened yet.

All my teasing him has been about his refusal to save his output, we could be getting to know at what point the tail of the variation (where unsound moves start) begins, we could see from what move, and at what point Stockfish predicted the moves played in the game, we could see for how many moves in the PV it has predicted it, if they had changed it, if Stockfish missed the line and recovered at some point, why if it was looking at the same lines before Harvey's move it was showing a score of -1.60 and after it was -1.40.

All more interesting information than some random depth and score.

I've had enough, I'm going to make a proposal to Harvey.

The game will continue by private message, we'll come back with the full PGN of the rest of the moves after the game ends.

Thanks everyone for watching.

So this is the current position, since I don't believe White ever announced his 14th move.

Stockfish dev currently shows

-1.64 (depth 77, 1:47:03). The PV ends at Black's 63rd move. Apparently, it's been working on depth 78 for a while now.

I'll save the current PV, since it all likelihood, it will be the PGN for the game.  Sadly, so far I've seen nothing at all original, but perhaps that's just the nature of the game arising from this opening.

I suppose I could just let Stockfish continue searching the current position. By the time we get the PGN, Stockfish will likely have solved chess, and also found one or two new Mersenne primes.

Or maybe I'll fire up Lc0 and see what it thinks of the position above. Can probably get 200M nodes before my RAM is filled.
