I am not a fan of the lights either, but you can get a really nice 32 core system with 3x 2080 supers for about 10K
After the 64 core version hits the streets, I will check again.

It is just that it is VERY hard to find places that configure 3rd gen threadripper systems.
The blinking lights are kid stuff, but they don't hurt anything.

Its been less than a month since the release of Threadripper 3. No sane workstation supplier would offer a product so close to launch before the "gamers" have ironed out the issues.

PugetSystems over at Reddit, has claimed that they've begun to evaluate Threadripper3. They'll release a system eventually, but professional workstation builds wait on purpose to offer the highest assurances of reliability.

If you're building your own PC, I also suggest waiting 6-months or so, to see if any showstopping bugs show up. If you have the spare budget, its certainly a good idea to get a small test-system for now... but obscure bugs often show up close to launch (ex: Linux Kernel issues, random incompatibilities, etc. etc.)

I imagine that's good advice, especially having seen noob's difficulties. But system integrators have had those boards and CPUs for months before we can get our hands on them. Right now, they are testing with the 64core systems and the wx boards, I think.
It might be nice to buy from PugetSystems because they are located in Auburn Washington, 8 miles from my house.

Because I think the wait for the 64 core threadripper might be six months and I wanted something fast under 5000 dollars as a stopgap while I wait. But RAM is only 64 gb. If it was 128 I probably would have bought it. Also, with a five year service warranty and tax it was over 5000.

The first link is weak on AMD and the 3950x they sell has 16 GB RAM

Bizon has nice stuff but 6000 dollars for liquid cooling is too high.
