It's just "positions visited" manually, so I played them and set my engines to analyze them. Whenever I look for alternative moves in a position, I don't count them as a new node, and whenever I analyze a position with a different engine, I don't count it as a new node.

The nodes analyzed in each position vary (Uri's 999999999999 was just an example), from 100000000 to 10000000000. They're nodes in a tree, and I guess I could easily have 4187000 nodes analyzed automatically if I used software like IDEA, but the most efficient way to analyze is to select carefully the next position to analyze.

And just like that, I lost +90% of my analysis, as I spent most of that in 26...Re7, and if Nb5 Red8 was offered as conditional I'd have played Nb5 two weeks ago 🤣

Oh yeah, I have to do this now before I add a single position to analysis, the exact count of the lost nodes:

26...Re7 (4711 positions visited)
26...Red8 (81 positions visited)
26...Nc4 (1 position visited - deemed as trivial draw  )
99.98310035468391% of analysis becomes irrelevant.

So what happened? I found a drawing plan for 26...Red8, now I'll try busting it...

I don't know what black is up to, I don't have a mainline.

(Harvey's going to play a6)

Finding draws in these variations is much easier than finding draws on the 26...Re7 ones, so my working theory is that the huge exploding unresolvable tree after 26...Re7 is not just a nightmare for white, but for black also, so both sides have the common goal of cutting out the variations we need to analyze.
