Fine, thanks.
Do you expect Pesto to overtake Rofchade once in the future? Are you going to work on both engines? (This one is for Ronald, of course.)

All made possible by Andrew and noobpwnftw (and the other cpu donors at OpenBench), and Alayan for ideas and help :)

Stockfish/CorChess UltimaIQ compiles are updated as of 040120, even though the home page still says the latest compiles are December 25:

This is more or less a "now and then experiment" to see how the AB search is performing as clean as possible. TCEC gave the opportunity to test it on amazing hardware against reasonably equal programs, so that's a great opportunity. I might try it again in the future after sufficient changes in search of rofChade, but for now this will be "the" version. So I expect it will never beat rofChade....

Today, I'm releasing a new version of my Winboard engine, Francesca. This is version 0.27. You can grab from my website, www.silentshark.co.uk

Changes, as per readme.txt file

Again, lots of small changes. Tweak to piece values to help value queen higher. Tweak to root LMR.
Make sure checks right near the leaves of the tree don't get pruned. Change to 'improving' idea, now
takes material and evaluation into account. Micro optimisations in qsearch and main search. More
aggressive LMR for counter/histories. Piece values change gradually, according to game phase
(previously they changed suddenly when in late endgame). Minor eval tweaks and tuning - side to
move bonus.

Testing vs other versions of Francesca and other engines is showing an improvement of about 30 ELO. But I sometimes over-estimate improvements, so we will see :-)

Cheers,
Tom
