No Skipper only plays worse each and every month.
Using piece square table again after many years but not finished yet in getting right values for the squares. Actually only just begun.
Skipper still can hardly win from Fairy-max so not promising. If you even can not beat fairy-max you can not beat other participants for they are much stronger. So last place would be only outcome. Or maybe a win against micromax when very lucky.

Dinner usually starts at 20:00 in France I understood or they are eating very late compared to the Dutch.

Schooner ended at the top spot with Nemorino, Ethereal and rofChade as runners up.
Belfish (a Stockfish derivative) and Arasan ended third place, which makes you wonder.
Goldbar on his new hardware did very well.
Nightmare was very unlucky this time, the engine wasn't changed in any way but it never ended this low.
Minic lost the last two games because it didn't move anymore.

This is Schooner's first win in the monthly ICS tournament. The results was marred with a time forfeit by BelFish, but the games were all very exciting. In particular, I like the game against host NightmareX. Black pummeled the white queen out of the opening, and white never stood a chance. Thank you to the host and all the participants.

This is Schooner's first win in the monthly ICS tournament. The results was marred with a time forfeit by BelFish, but the games were all very exciting. In particular, I like the game against host NightmareX. Black pummeled the white queen out of the opening, and white never stood a chance. Thank you to the host and all the participants.

Indeed, Nightmare underestimated the threat on the long diagonal in combination with the knight that could move to h4 and it didn't look deep enough to see it coming, after 24 .. Rxd4 it saw trouble arising, but by that time it was already too late. Two of the major weaknesses of Nightmare are a somewhat weak king safety and a very ancient search with hardly any pruning. Every time I decide to do something about it, but in practice there are always other things more important.

I thought for a very long time that Nightmare had a fortress in the game with black against Nemorino but suddenly it broke around the 127th move. Maybe it was a fortress and Nightmare played a wrong move when time trouble came up, or maybe it wasn't a fortress at all, I haven't analyzed it yet.

It seems to only happen at the very begining of games ? Is this what happened ? Minic not playing the first move ?

In fact this is an error at the very end of the previous game. Will be fixed.

Yes it happened at the very beginning of the last two games. Don't be sorry, sometimes this happens, the TM could simply set the game results manually.
