Relatively interesting endgame

Post by Nordlandia »

Magnus played recently against 15 year old Nihal Sarin in a bullet match where he won with good margins.

I noticed this position occured. May qualify as borderline position. White is better, but is it enough to win?

The kingside pawns is crippled but BBN vs RB is usually a substantial advantage.

That's to far a way to go to be sure, if a fortress can be setup or not.

After some Forward- Backward:

r5k1/5ppp/p1b1p3/1p2B3/8/1BN4P/PPP4P/6K1 w - - 0 1

Analysis by Honey XI-r1 FD:

+/= (0.47) Depth: 38/71 00:29:11 32811MN, tb=1579286

At least a forced win is not to be seen neither.

BTW Jon, did you see this?

The study you brought there is cooked to me.
