Can Komodo 13. for Android beat Shredder 8 on a P.C ?

You got it all wrong Shredder 8 on my system is much much stronger than Komodo 13 on my Samsung Galaxy S8+, Check how deep my Dell All in One Computer can calculate, whereas Komodo does NOT even calculate half af much on my Android.

in CCRL 40/15 Shredder 9 = 2726 elo, Komodo 13 = 3423 elo

about 700 elo difference. that's >100x time odd or pawn odd

Snapdragon 835 is quite strong CPU, similar to laptop i7 quad core CPU

If we accept double speed ~60 elo. To close the 700 elo difference we need 2^12=1024 time odd

Let' look at Komodo 8 (android) vs Deep Shredder 10 (4 core i7 cpu) match at 2014.

Komodo 8 (android) beat Deep Shredder10 (4 core i7 cpu) with a 5-1 score . The speed of Komodo 8 is 1/25 of Deep Shredder 10

If that is the case something must be wrong with my settings I do have it set for Threads 8, and all other settings as default. Can somebody post their settings of Komodo13 so I can make sure that my settings match. Another thing is that the CCRL of shredder 9 was based on a very very slow computer back in 2004 or 2005 this Dell system all in One is about 3 or 4 times faster than what CCRL used back in 2004, which I believe it was an Athlon 256MB 1200 MHz

K13 on my slow Moto G6 quickly identifies several weak moves from the K13 in the first game posted in this thread.

My best guess would be that you have the skill UCI option set to something other than max, but it's hard to say anything definitive with so little data.

Perhaps post your settings, so we can check them?

is this true for all engines (both top-end and old-weak)? same for STC vs LTC?
I doubt, going from 3400 to 3460 is more costly than going from 2700 to 2760 in terms of Time/CPU
Anyway, I wrote >100 as a lower safe margin (old weak engine @ STC blitz).
Also author is probably using opening book for Shredder, which offset weakness (save CPU time and play good moves)

60 elo is average number. I think at 2700 -2800 ratings double speed is 70 elo and at 3200-3300 ratings double speed is 50 elo.

The "Use MCTS" option seems missing from your list. Is that enabled? I had only compared play to regular K13. Perhaps you were using K MCTS?

All the other options I did NOT listed since they are defaults like Variety etc....which is set to 0
