Nothing indicates that it would suck less prefromance-wise in a tablet form-factor than the Mini, Macbooks and iMacs currently using the same HW :-( It will be same 4-cores of slowness even in an iPad, the only thing differnt will be an even lesser OS running the "apps"..

Well…. I guess that if it hits 13000 kn/s that would still be a pretty amazing result for a tablet!

Never better served than by yourself....
Just received my iPad Pro 11 M1, fresh install (maybe still some background processing) after 3min search starting position, I have 8'800 kn/s.
I guess this is about 1.5x previous gen iPad Pro.
Its not the 13'000 kn/s but its still an interesting bump up from previous version.

We'll have none of that, thank you - link.

Already not bad, and it's only the beginning. Be sure that with the success of Silicon (expected SOCs with up to 40 CPUs for Christmas) M1 and successors code will be further optimized :)

Five updates for apple-silicon (M1): clover-2.3.1, igel-3.0.5, mayhem-3.5, shashchess-17 and stash-bot-30. Some new engines might follow this weekend…
