You will leave, of course, when you have no reasonable variations.
I don't have time for deeper analysis now, but after Qd7, white can simply play a4:

[d]r4rk1/1b1qbp1p/4pRp1/p2pP1Pn/PppP4/2P1PN1Q/1PBB3P/R6K b - - 0 1

and black can capture the a4 pawn, only if it pushes b4-b3, which will slow down black's counterplay on the queen side by at least 8 tempos.
This means white is simply better, slowly attacking on the king side.
SF is again lost in one of its famous irrelevant lines.

The position is won for white, there is no doubt about that.

I don't know, but either you or SF exhibits some failures.
Any reason why you suddenly started analysing the Rf4 lines before the Qh6 one was fully analysed?
I would suggest you search a bit deeper the Qh6 Ba4 Bg4 Rfc8 Rg3 line(which is the obvious move instead of e4):

Lyudmil, it's not a Multi PV Mode analysis but a best move analysis. Stockfish simply changed his mind between Qh6 and Rf4 with increasing depth.

Code: Select all

Depth 29: 29/48 00:17 530.887k 29.530k -1,42 9.Qh6 Ba4 10.Bg4 Rfc8 11.e4 Bf8 12.Qh4 dxe4 13.Rg3 e3
Depth 30: 30/62 01:28 2.625.343k 29.551k -2,46 9.Rf4 Ba4 10.Bf3 Nf5 11.Bg4 Bxg5 12.Rf3 Nh4 13.Rfg3 Qe7
Depth 36: 36/65 08:23 15.603.654k 30.968k -2,93 9.Qh6 Ba4 10.Bg4 Rb1 11.Rf3 Rfb8 12.Rgf1 Bf8 13.Rxf7 Qxf7

etc.
This is the "best move infinite analysis" after 9.Qh6 Ba4 10.Bg4:

I don't know what you are analysing.

If you are certain black is losing that, you might simply acknowledge it, then we might analyse something else.

Sorry to intervene, but you just inserted a very weak move Rfc8? move and SF don't like
that weak move you inserted. It was already -5,16 in blacks favor without the Rfc8.

Stockfish chose 10...Rb1 as best move not 10...Rfc8:

Code: Select all

Depth 36: 36/65 08:23 15.603.654k 30.968k -2,93 9.Qh6 Ba4 10.Bg4 Rb1 11.Rf3 Rfb8 12.Rgf1 Bf8 13.Rxf7 Qxf7
[d]1rr3k1/3qbpnp/4pRpQ/p2pP1P1/b1pP2B1/P1P1P1R1/3B3P/4N2K b - - 0 3
But anyway, even after 10...Rfc8 11.Rg3 Nh5 the white attack is over.

I don't know what you are analysing.
The real position is this one:

[d]1rr3k1/3qbpnp/4pRpQ/p2pP1P1/b1pP2B1/P1P1P1R1/3B3P/4N2K b - - 0 3

And the rook is ALREADY on g3.
If you are certain black is losing that, you might simply acknowledge it, then we might analyse something else.
Sorry to intervene, but you just inserted a very weak move Rfc8? move and SF don't like
that weak move you inserted. It was already -5,16 in blacks favor without the Rfc8.
Don't talk BS.
If he can take back moves, can not I do the same?
The position before/and after Rf6 is won for white, like it or not.

Stockfish chose 10...Rb1 as best move not 10...Rfc8:

Code: Select all

Depth 36: 36/65 08:23 15.603.654k 30.968k -2,93 9.Qh6 Ba4 10.Bg4 Rb1 11.Rf3 Rfb8 12.Rgf1 Bf8 13.Rxf7 Qxf7
[d]1rr3k1/3qbpnp/4pRpQ/p2pP1P1/b1pP2B1/P1P1P1R1/3B3P/4N2K b - - 0 3
But anyway, even after 10...Rfc8 11.Rg3 Nh5 the white attack is over.

Stockfish 180113 64 BMI2, 18 cores

Code: Select all

 49/78	49:05	106.192.032k	36.057k	+1,89	3. ... Nh5 4.Bxh5 Bf8 5.Bxg6 fxg6 6.Qh3 Bd1 7.Rg1 Bxa3 8.Rgf1 Rf8 9.e4 dxe4 10.Kg1 a4 11.Be3 Bf3 12.Nxf3 exf3 13.Qg4 Rxf6 14.gxf6 Bf8 15.Qxf3 Kf7 16.Ra1 Rb3 17.Qa8 a3 18.Bd2 Qb5 19.Qe4 Qd5 20.Qxd5 exd5 21.h4 Ke6 22.Kf1 h6 23.Ke2 g5 24.hxg5 hxg5 25.Bxg5 Rxc3 26.Bc1 Bb4 27.Kd1 Rd3+ 28.Kc2 Rxd4 29.Bxa3 Bxa3 30.Rxa3 Rf4 31.Ra7 Kxe5 32.f7 Rf6 33.Kc3 Ke6 34.Kd4 Rf4+ 35.Kc5 Rxf7 36.Ra8 Rf1 37.Ra2 Re1 38.Kd4 Rd1+ 39.Kc3 Rd3+ 40.Kc2 Ke5
If you/SF is able to take back moves, I should be able to do the same, I guess.
In your line, e4 instead of Rg1 seems to be much better:

[d]1rr2bk1/3q3p/4pRp1/p2pP1P1/2pPP3/P1P3RQ/3B3P/3bN2K b - - 0 5

Maybe, black will be able to draw, I don't know.

I don't know what you want to claim, that Rf6 does not win?
Certainly it does, I am just too tired now and extremely busy to do careful analysis of alternative lines.

Btw., after Rf6 Qd8 Nf1 Nf6 gf6 Bf6 ef6 Qf6, did you check with longer search all the lines:

[d]r4rk1/pb3p1p/4pqp1/1p1p4/2pP4/P1P1P2Q/1PB4P/R1B2NK1 w - - 0 5

I guess this is won for white, but you will need 30-40 moves until the score changes.
I myself tried this with SF and it starts winning after 30-40 moves.
From my experience drawn from different databases and top engine games, 2 minor pieces vs rook + 2 pawns, when the 2 minors also have the bishop pair is won for the minor side, in maybe at least 90% of cases, so, I suggest you check more carefully/maybe play some games to get convinced.

Alternatively, white has also Bd1 instead of Nf1:

[d]r2q1rk1/pb2bp1p/4pRp1/1p1pP1Pn/2pP4/P1P1P2Q/1P1N3P/R1BB2K1 b - - 0 2

This should also be investigated closely.

I am fully certain Rf6 wins, and maybe other moves too.
I just don't have even couple of minutes time now to give just this position.

It is a pity all the most beautiful lines are not evident from what SF chooses.
There are really some very intriguing variations here, if SF accepts the sacrifice.
Pity I don't have more time.
