It took FIDE 41 years to create the WWCC .................

Post by Chessqueen »

The World Chess Championship of 1886 was the first official World Chess Championship match contested by Wilhelm Steinitz and Johannes Zukertort. It took FIDE 41 years to create the WWCC Women World Chess Championship from 1886 to 1927 when Mera Menchik won back in 1927. It might take a few years for FIDE to create the first Fischer Random Women Championship

Probably similar argument when introducing women's suffrage hundred years ago: If we allow women to vote we might as well allow dogs and pigs to vote.

FIDE did not exist in 1886... it was founded in 1924.

In that case whoever created the Men World Chess Championship , but FIDE created the Women World Chess Championship.
The Women's World Championship was established by FIDE in 1927 as a single tournament held alongside the Chess Olympiad. The winner of that tournament, Vera Menchik, did not have any special rights as the men's champion did—instead she had to defend her title by playing as many games as all the challengers.

Women World Championship is just a kind of discrimination ("what? you were born male? Get out of here!")

You are correct, but why there should be a separate women and Men Championship, they should all compete together at the same time and the winner of the men and the winner of the women or the women ending with more points should be crowned champions https://en.chessbase.com/post/why-there ... -for-women
