...Now I know why Acepoint abandoned this topic. But I will stay here :D
You still avoided the question.. You b'ch about how hot better performing CPU gets (and ignore the fact that that hw could of course be downclocked to run cooler as well to get down to the same mediocre speed your M1 is getting)..

So how hot would your M1 run if you try to get even close to the speed you get from an i5-gen 12 cpu.... I think you can fry eggs on it and it still won't get you to 28Mnps...

Sorry, I'm really not interested by this argument. For my needs IT'S PERFECT . Since Acepoint cannot frequently update engines, I'm continuing his very useful and appreciated task. There are millions of Silicon M1 users and probably a lot of chess players interested. Even if it doesn't reach Intel or AMD performances, It is very convenient for dimensions and power consumption and that's all for a vast part of users.

How perfect is the fact that you can't run Fat Titz?

Maybe you copied your stockfish commits from someone else too?
I will look into that.

I can survive.

And I have it also on Windows 11 ARM64 popcnt sse41 under Parallels Desktop 17 thanks to Silicon M1

But what I cannot understand is related to your experiments on Stockfish running on M1

Have you made this dummy bought too? :)

-I hate iPhone notch and my last iDevice was iPhone 5! ...I prefer Android that I can mod as I like.
-I use Mac mini M1 as an hub for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Windows, Linux never using Apple services like Apple TV, Apple Music or Mac App Store (I don't like walled gardens) only because I like Unix and Windoz blue death screens are still here.
-My old Mac Mini 2010 is still perfectly working with High Sierra since 12 years and so I have bought it and not an iMac or a macbook hoping that Mac mini M1 will last at least 3 more years.

So I'm not really an Apple fanboy.
