**Please note** Ever since I updated from 20.5 to 20.6 I've experienced an issue with engine matches. When setting the threads I want to use for both engines it doesn't use that when the game starts. I've emailed chessbase about this issue for a fix (I hope). I advise anyone to revert back to version 5 (it worked for me).

I don't know if you're connected to Chessbase but if you are maybe you can help me. My Fritz 20 used to be able to detect my computer's 12 threads but now it only detects 11 threads, I started noticing this issue a few updates prior to this one. All the other chess GUI's I use correctly detect the 12 threads. I've contacted Chessbase support twice and the only emails I have received were the automatic replies to my emails.

My system is Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz, 3192 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)

Same here at my Ryzen9 16 cores, maximum threads I can set is 31. Didn't notice neither, when that started (in history of updates of F20), I'm always storing my engine- setting with 30 threads anyhow, but right now it cannot be set to 32 anymore at all, not even with icon in engine- window. Yet it could be called a feature instead of a bug, at least I won't miss setting to 32 threads much, most of the time not running engine without any other Windows- processes in background, regards
Peter.

That is odd. I used to uncheck smart cpu usage or edit the .uci file with notepad (to get max threads/cores). It's either a bug or hard coded somewhere. Could be possible that Chessbase designed it that way (to save 1 core/thread for the OS) They will either fix it or not. You could try reverting the update or reinstalling.
