Hi,
here I had no crashes when I use the engine openingbook.
Crashes here when using Arena Mainbook or starting from positions.

Can anyone confirm this please?

Hi Norman.
I look in to ChessWar, hope.
But currently not support UCI and new Sjeng.
Only 1 engine/months. Probably next.

Gabor, Werner-

this evaulation version is for windows xp (or earlier versions of windows), and was not released with the intention that it would undergo rigorous cross-platform testing.

this eval version has added security/anti-piracy code that the registerd version does not contain, and has not been widely tested in many different environments.

if the CEGT and/or CCRL choose to use this version for testing purposes, i would greatly appreciate a chance to address and fix any issues before they posted in public forums.

sincerely,
norm

due to overwhelming demand, i am releasing an evaluation version of xyclOps 1.2. it can be downloaded from http://www.xyclOps.com.

if you download xyclOps, please consider supporting its further development by registering your copy via the xyclOps website.

version 1.3 (for multiple CPUs) is currently being tested, and should be ready for release soon.

my best regards,

I would have liked to test it,
but I always get error 55 now and it says
'corrupted security'?
Note that it started normally the very first time.
(WIN XP SP2 1.5 GB Ram)

Stephan
Hi Stephan,
normally, eval version error 55 indicates that the software has been moved or copied to a different machine. it should, however, still function normally on the original machine on which it was installed.
if this is not the case, please contact me at 'kranium at telenet dot be'.
