I also thought it should be. But, only if "20 elo increase, and maybe even less at long TC", is a cautious estimation (by Houdart).
If it is only that, then I even think that Stockfish 1.8 may be a little stronger, or about the same as that, so we might be seeing much of the same vs Rybka 4.

However much i like it all very much, i find it very gripping, and i keep going back to watch, and it's even like doing hard work myself!
Therefore i would feel it more worth the excitement, to go Vs Rybka 4 again, if there is good reason to believe that it is a little stronger, not only than Houdini 1.02, but even than Stockfish 1.8.

If Houdini 1.03 is similar in strength to 1.02 or SF 1.8, then one interesting idea would be to do Houdini or SF vs Rybka 3.

These are the kind of things i would be doing at home by myself, if, i had all the components.
(I used to do this alot for my own interests, with earlier software and dedicated computers. [When genius 3 came out, it crushed everything below it!]. I was breaking my head trying to beat (me personally playing) Turbo King, Novag Scorpio, CM 1 and 2 and 5, but G3 exterminated everything. [ btw, G2, i could actually give a hard game to, myself. G3 was the perfection of G2, and began imo a new era.... fritz 3 was hyped, but G3 was stronger]).
