If you decide to go open source, you're more likely to receive relevant feedback!

up to you
Hello, Lucacs,

i am really curious, what is _relevant_ feedback ?

I am happy for any feedback we can get from users and testers.
For me at the moment, one of the most relevant content is that
Nemo will produce fun, and should work stable.

For now, i dont see how it gets more likely to receive feedback of users
by opening the source. I am very pleased with the feedback we already
got for the versions of Nemo 1.0x in total.

regards, Michael

Thanks, Werner.

Hopefully Nemo will accelerate a little bit in the next matches  .

Summary of STS test results:
( see http://sites.google.com/site/strategictestsuite/ )

Exact moves: 882/1300 class B+
Score: 10011/13000 class A

It seems Nemo has some troubles in finding the best moves in the theme STS8: Advancement of f-g-h pawns.

For comparison with other engines,see
http://sites.google.com/site/strategict ... sts-1---12
These are Swami's old results, but his settings are roughly comparable with mine.

I'm posting more detailed reports on www.open-chess.org , because I don't know how to attach files here (is it possible?)

Nemo32o_V_1_01_beta, under Arena 2.5 (with Arena 3.0 I find problems with Remy Coulon's SStat.exe).
I posted detailed results in

Actually Michael and Sven are really helpful here in explaining ideas, answering questions or even share bits of source to explain an idea. Disclosing the complete source of their engine would not provide much additional value to engine authors, but we would probably find more nemos than we asked for soon.
