Yes you're probably right with abutere (I don't remember grammar well anymore). But not with quousque (unless you have a manuscript http://www.gutenberg.org/files/226/226-h/226-h.htm

There indeed seems to be a (minor) controversy between quousque and quo usque...
At school, I learnt quousque... but who knows, maybe (or may be) they unearthed a genuine Cicero Roman tablet
