Repito en fritz 15 no funciona , pero en aquarium 2017 si. No sabría decir categóricamente si esta jugando con toda su fuerza, en mis test , esta perdiendo contra el brianfish .

McBrain_2017_x64_bmi2.zip one flavor Windows bmi2
McBrain_2017_x64.zip two flavors, Windows 64 bit plain and modern
McBrain_2017_32bit.zip two flavors, Windows 32 bit new and old
McBrain_2017_linux.zip two flavors, Linux 64bit and 32bit

Don't forget to download the Cerebellum book by Thomas Zipproth from the link above in the original post , it is updated on a regular basis ...
I think the Author Name field might be to long, as I cannot get this (McBrain_2017_x64_bmi2) file to load in Chessbase/ Fritz GUI. I can get it to load in Shredder GUI, but the name author field is blank. I can place a name in the Shredder GUI and complete the installation however. The same cannot be said of Chessbase/ Fritz.
thanks for the feedback - will try to get that fixed

thanks - will take a look, it should be close to brainfish - but if brainfish is playing 30 elo or more better , than most likely cerebellum is not working - there was defect in the brainfish book not too long ago , pls make sure you have the most recent.

Have you tried editing the engine file directly? It's in the engine directory of Shredder. For example I have one for stockfish (stockfish.eng) which has

[ENGINE]
Name=Stockfish
Author=T. Romstad, M. Costalba, J. Kiiski, G. Linscott
Filename=c:\Engines\Stockfish\stockfish.exe
[OPTIONS]
UCI_Chess960=true
Threads=4
Hash=516
SyzygyPath=SyzygyPath=c:\tablebases\syzygy

It's just a text file and you can edit this as you see fit (you could even make yourself the author!) and add other options as well. You can then copy it to another file called stockfish.uci and copy the new file to the engines.uci directory under Chessbase. The engine should be visible when you restart Chessbase or Fritz.

In your case you will have a mcbrain.eng for Shredder and mcbrain.uci for Chessbase.

Hi John,

Yes, I did try that. However for some unknown reason to me, It would still not display in Chessbase /Fritz GUI as a installed engine. :cry:

Thanks a lot for your help and explanation, but you know that in fritz 15 (load uci module), I import it well, but then do not load it into the program.

I just noticed that there is an error in the last line of the configuration file. It should read
SyzygyPath=c:\tablebases\syzygy
with the path changed to suit your setup.

I created a uci file called "McBrain 2017 v1.0 64 BMI2.uci" and used the settings below.

Code: Select all

[ENGINE]
Name=McBrain 2017 v1.0 64 BMI2
Author=T. Romstad, M. Costalba, J. Kiiski, G. Linscott
Filename=D:\Chess Engines\McBrian\mcbrain_2017_x64_bmi2.exe
[OPTIONS]
Threads=8
Hash=2048
Show_Info=true
BookPath=D:\Chess Engines\McBrian\Cerebellum_light_170112\Cerebellum_Light.bin
SyzygyPath=E:\SyzygyBases\DTZ_6;E:\SyzygyBases\DTZ_345;E:\SyzygyBases\WDL_6;E:\SyzygyBases\WDL_345
