Thank you for testing it. Demolito performaned better than I expected in Chess960.

Is it really the second strongest open source engine for Chess960 (far behind SF) ? Perhaps there are others that were missed ?

Theory and practice sometimes clash. And when that happens, theory loses. Every single time.

Yes it performed better than I expected as well.

I don't think I'm missing any open source engines. There is a newer version of EXchess that I haven't tested yet, but I don't think the gain is big enough to threaten Demolito.

SugaR XPrO 1.2 64-bit is in the Stockfish 'family' and has a higher rating.

Graham, I hope the staff is aware that the full game downloads for 40/4 and 40/40 result in a null file after unzipping. At least for me. It has been this way for several weeks.

They download and unzip without issue for me as well..
What file-archive utility are you using Nelson?

Well it is only rated higher, because it is based on a newer SF version.
IMHO this is a bad decision and it would be much better to use at least
one new SF dev version per quarter of a year.
Komodo is as often released and all of them are tested.

I use 7-zip. The unzip seems fine and the file is the correct size. But when I try to open it in Chessbase--no games in file. I'm going to try reinstalling Chessbase as I suspect that may be the problem.
