In the meantime you can sure use 24 adapters to do the same thing as without adapters at all (like in Arena) just by using WinBoard. But if that is your taste I recomend you use 4 power adapters to run your Laptop/PC/TV... each and making it Europe=>US=>UK=>Taiwan=>Europe
To find out what people are looking for goto Google, type "chess gui" and watch...

You seem to confuse what people are looking for with what they find.
Native support "for everything useful" (meaning of course "almost nothing"), no doubt ony for "people that are relevant" (again, almost no one, because it is "not public"...). That is what Arena offers indeed.
Arena has always been infamous for its poor performance and many glitches in these so-called "natively supported" areas. I don't know if you finally managed to improve that, but the native UCI support used to be far more laggy than WinBoard running a UCI engine through the Polyglot adapter, leading to frequent time losses in very fast games. Arena users are just lucky that you are not responsible for the technical development of Arena, and are only in charge of fooling people into using it. Because what you say is appalling nonsense.
The WinBoard vs Arena comparison of a few years ago convincingly shows that a good adapter can outperform a poor native solution by a large margin.
Apparently you have picked up the misconception that people are scared of adapters, so that you now base your campaign of deceit around that term. Fabricating lies about the number of adapters WinBoard would need to do the same thing as Arena.
Have you ever been in Japan, btw? I have. And guess what? I could not use my laptop there. Because the European power plug does not fit the Japanese power outlets. The hotel was friendly enough to borrow me an
adapter, though, so I could use it again. If WinBoard is the laptop that needs 4 adapters to run all over the world, Arena is a laptop without adapters that turns out useless outside its place of origin. But don't let that stop your campaign of deceit in favor of the adapterless, useless laptop. Just say that those other places are useless, rather than the laptop.
