I wanted to display better board only much later when ChessGUI starts using fonts, but I will see ...

Sorry to keep bothering you Matthias, but I see a bright future for ChessGUI if you can keep up your motivation to improve it further. 8-)
Thanks for all you've done so far.

It is feedback and welcome.
ChessGUI 0.094 now constructs results table from scheduler.
Everybody should check out new GUI remis book option even before resuming a tournament.

I messed up my Swiss tournament and have yet to find out whether GUI or editor did the evil, so look closely at swiss.

Best,
Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Some ChessGUI version around 0.089 caused the problem when I appended engines to an already running swiss tournament. Newest versions are OK.

Please let us know once you've fixed the Swiss problem.
Off to download 0.094 now. :)

Yes - it's still early here. Should have waited till my eyes were properly open!

I have some problems with ChessGUI, maybe Graham or others can confirm them?

1. Under ChessGUI (0.094), HIARCS 12 and Zappa Mexico II use all 4 threads even if set to use only 2.
No such problem with other multi-thread engines or with the same engines under Arena and Shredder.

2. Engines seem not to use the remis book any more.

3. When constructing a new match, the remis book line length is set to 1873 (equal to the number of book lines).

4. Often I have to set a tournament twice as for the first time the games does not start.
I'm still using ChessGUI 0.091 Gabor as I've not had the chance to switch to 0.094 yet.
Zappa Mexico II uses only one thread here. Did you go through the various pages of parameters for it and change the number of threads from auto to 1?

Yes, I did. I changed the number of threads to 2, just as I did in various other GUI's.
Okay - Matthias will need to investigate.

Hi Gabor,

edit ChsGUI.uci in engine directories and set default number of threads.
Tell us whether that helps.

I dropped in a book parameter in 0.094.
If you have corrected book parameters for a running tournament and still
have problems, then I must check last changes concerning book.

Setup a small completely new tournament and set new book parameters and tell us whether book then works fine.

Anyway, I will look into source code also.

Best,
Matthias.

OK, I did mistakenly swap two variables in source code.
Fixed and uploaded still as 0.094.
BTW, Logos are now easier to locate.

The cause may be tricky to figure out but I shall try soon.
