Of course you would have...the phrase 'a monkey examining a watch' some might say. I'll just chalk it up to the computer virus that affects some peoples brains.

But, seriously though, it may not have been filled with a lot of spice but it wasn't a quick listless draw...nor a long draw out engine vs engine draw. It was clear that Nepo was rather upset at not being able to make more of the situation. Giri's analysis of the game on Chessbase.com was pretty good...but of course, it's not a bunch of computer generated lines so it would probably not be to your taste...

White plays Anti Marshall variants (a4 and h3), but has not prepared anything against Black.

Sad.

If you only have 7x white (maximum), then that is not enough to become world champion.

Honestly, I don't think Carlsen will offer a Marshall with his next black. Unless he sees it as some 'Berlin Wall' (it's no Berlin), it's probably time to switch to another defensive choice - keep Team Nepo off balance.

Carlsen only had white twice. He also tested 1.e4 to see what his opponent was playing on it. Nepo played practically the same thing 3 times and didn't show anything in game 5. You don't need to be an expert to see this. He's the most boring candidate for the title in recent years.

Yet you keep watching, why?

You can't call that watching if you take a quick look to know after 10s that it will be a draw. If I watch properly, it looks different for me. I am currently playing live with 2 accounts in the engine room (same server), more is happening there.

Did you root for the Terminator?
Fat Titz by Stockfish, the engine with the bodaciously big net. Remember: size matters. If you want to learn more about this engine just google for "Fat Titz".
