I said "should be winning" and of course is not definitely winning - white is just slightly better after 6. c5!.

My main point is that when you are playing with the white pieces then you should be playing to win and not just to draw. Fischer, Short and Kasparov understood this and so should all other GMs. Instead they just lazily play passively and then agree a quick draw - it is pathetic and a disservice to the sport of chess. Fide should find another pair of players immediately as neither of these two guys cut the mustard.

100% agreed. It's pretty pathetic when the live commentary on the games is something like (paraphrased from different sources):

"Ok, they're playing this or that opening... (30 min later) interesting moves, this game might be full of fireworks... (later) not yet a draw, might still be an interesting game... (a bit later) oh well, it's over and it's a draw".

And they want us to watch this?

And all this in the span of... 25 moves (!!!)

It would be a compensation if it was a women championship, with beautiful women of course :D

Then we can ignore the boring draw games and concentrate on .... ah ....never mind

Let's just say I am glad I did not pay to see games 1 and 2, so I have nothing to complain about. However if I had ..., well let's just say I would not have been to happy either.
