It seems that hiarcs overevaluates passed pawns.gleperlier wrote:[d]2r3k1/pp1b2bp/6p1/3P1r2/n2B4/5P2/PP1RN1P1/K4B1R w - - 1 7

(Thx Robert for posting the game).
If only ONE of the players was in a combative mood, he would have done everything to prevent the exchange of the queens. They both agreed to it.
Up to now this match is a big disappointment.

I hope that gelfand is stronger than hiarcs and that gelfand is going to find Nb6 that leads to equality.gleperlier wrote:[d]2r5/pp1b2kp/3P2p1/5r2/n7/5P2/PP1RN1P1/K4B1R b - - 0 8

Hiarcs seems to be totally positionally blind because based on houdini Rc5 is a blunder and Nb6 is the best move by a big margin.

Even without queens the current game is very interesting, actually.JuLieN wrote:(Thx Robert for posting the game).

A high-level dynamic balance between white's extra pawn and black's lead in development. Typical Grünfeld Defense.
