personally i think there is no need to play until mate or with evals of -10..-15.. etcetc
Steve
Well - BigLion's evals are nowhere near those values. It still largely does not know what trouble it is in.

Shredder on the other hand has about +280 eval

should we play on to mate or let BL resign with some grace in the next few moves?
Steve
I already suggested that we stop at -4.00
... but someone wants to see a checkmate.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

-4.00 is too early I think. I would have thought -9.00 or -10.00
At the moment BL is evaluating about -6.50 as I left home this morning

I agree. There is no point in continuing much longer as BigLion is a dead cat already. Now it is just a question of technique.

Now we need to ask for a special forum for these type of games in the future.

OK, let's stop at -10.00 !
BigLion demonstrates the typical blindness of a 2150 engine.

Sigh,
Matthias.

so i imagine at this stage it would be perfectly acceptable to ask Ray to post BL's Eval after every move?
it will be interesting to see at which point the eval nose dives

Yes I think that is what we should do. It may only take another couple of moves to get to -10.00, will be interesting to see
