Apparently FIDE is very interested in setting up a match between Rybka and Junior for the world computer champion title. Currently they are thinking of hosting it in Mexico City:

Mhm,
I can't find this words in the FIDE press release, but I've found "the organization of another computer challenge match".
"world computer champion title"?Leto wrote:Apparently FIDE is very interested in setting up a match between Rybka and Junior for the world computer champion title. Currently they are thinking of hosting it in Mexico City:

Junior had won the title earlier by playing vs Fritz. I guess Leto is assuming that Rybka would get the title once it wins against Junior.Tobias Lagemann wrote:Mhm,

sorry, but I can't remember a world computer chess championchip playing Junior vs. Fritz. Okay, in Elista Junior and Fritz have played a private sponsored match (called "The Ultimate Computer Chess Challenge") but not a world championchip. Take a look at this press release http://globalchess.eu/main.php?id=54 or read all the articles about Elista http://globalchess.eu/main.phpTony Thomas wrote:Junior had won the title earlier by playing vs Fritz. No word about a "world computer champion title" (okay, Junior was the reigning wcc after his win in Turin). It was "only" The Ultimate Computer Chess Challenge , nothing more, and Junior has one this Challenge against Fritz.
Nevertheless another Computer Chess Challenge between Rybka and for example Junior would be a great thing for all the fans.

You seem to know what leto is talking about, why waste too much time by yapping over the technicality of a word? Rybka is already the WCCC as we all know.Tobias Lagemann wrote:sorry, but I can't remember a world computer chess championchip playing Junior vs. Fritz.
