Would you like to see Chessbase Sponsor a Match between Deep Rybka III vs Hydra?

I actually wouldnt mind a 10 game match of Hydra vs Rybka 3..I would like to know about the progress they have made with Hydra that only one person in the world can afford.

I voted no.
I think that hydra has no chance and the match is not interesting.
Hydra is probably weaker than rybka2 so no chance against rybka III.

If no such match is conducted, then everything we say would be pure speculation. If the score is almost even like in the Zappa vs Rybka match, then we can assume that at least Rybka doesnt have complete dominance.

I would like to see it Uri, but I do agree with you. I think Rybka would win the match. I would have more interest in a Rybka vs Hydra Match than see GM Roman Dzindzichashvili vs Rybka Match played with odds.

Well we can't see the other side of the moon but can't we assume it doesn't exist? No.
We don't see Hydra right now, but if it's a forgotten project we have the right to assume it's strength has fallen far behind than the active engines of now.

Actually there is no such thing as Hydra in Chess right now. I don't see it anyway....

No. Short matches should not be used to compare dominance at strength. Rating lists should be.
Of course if you mean by complete dominance to win every game, then you are right that Rybka doesn't have that.

But from the test results until now Rybka's speedup in QUAD and Octal cores has truly increased with this version 3.
After his son's birth they've asked him:
"Is it a boy or girl?"
YES! He replied.....

Hydra was shown to be weaker than Rybka in the Freestyle tournaments, and that was with older versions of Rybka, so I don't see how it could compete against Rybka 3. I'd much prefer to see Rybka vs Carlsen.

While I would like to see such a match, I voted no just because I see no need for Chessbase to sponsor it. If the Hydra team is up for some games I bet Vas would gladly accommodate them.
