How many new chess engines have been brought out public this year?

An unanswered question. On GitHub alone there are hundreds of chess engines that no one has heard of. Some finished, others just attempts...some very good, others just toys...There, with patience, you can sometimes find interesting things. However, the public's attention is focused on STRENGTH (well, a defect - others say a quality - of the human species). So Stockfisk (on which two or three divisions of developers are working) together with the derivatives (and in the background the clones) are in great demand. The rest......generally crumbs of ideas embedded in the SF genetic material.
