simply a copy and paste
says ASilver, oh man that's a quote of the day applies to almost every context.
Albert Silver on Fat Fritz 2: "In fact ... is simply a copy and paste". Look, I'm a journalist now :)
You're not doing yourself any favors.

Re: Stockfish: Our lawsuit against ChessBase

Alrighty. I'll concede that my use of the word "buried" was a bit hyperbolic if you'll concede that your claim that Stockfish is "heavily mentioned" in the marketing material is simply false. There’s not that much of it. Here from the description tab: *The Fat Fritz 2 Chess Engine is based on the s...

Re: Fat Fritz question

I would hardly characterize it as trivial, even for the vastly simpler SF-NNUE type nets (as I mentioned). Naturally, for both types of nets after you have done a few it does become pretty straightforward. As Sopel said, if you take the public data, etc., and just run the scripts, you basically get...

Re: Time to rethink what Albert Silver has done?

Yo, into wasps' nest, I am not into the details, but I read that Stockfish uses now Lc0 data for training, and doubled their net size. Time to rethink what Albert Silver has done? As far as I got it he used FatFritz 1 (Lc0 derivative) data for training and doubled the net size of the FatFritz 2 (St...

Re: A few observations on NNUE/ SF/ FatFritz2 and an alternate scenario.

Houdini was obviously a clone of RobboLito from the start, which was denied by the author, and therefor a blatant license violation. Houdini could have started out as Ivanhoe, since Ivanhoe was public domain and Robbolito was a clone of Ivanhoe. On the other hand, the evidence that current Houdini ...

Oh okay. Contempt = 0 would be better against SF dev. I guess Chessbase decided to change it 24 to beat up on weaker opponents :D My understanding is that contempt has no effect on it with NNUE enabled. I merely switched back because I got asked a lot about it, and figured this would just quiet tha...
