Re: Two small gifts from Pablo Ignacio Restrepo to the great GM Larry Kaufman, with respect and sincerity. Cordially,

Every game is basically the same; at some point Stockfish decides that the object is to lose the game as quickly as possible, starting with giving away the b pawn, the c pawn, the e pawn, the f pawn, and then the pieces! Pretty much same sequence in every game, in different positions. Quite bizarre...

Re: Stockfish-Leela Game 66

This is currently under way. https://tcec-chess.com/ There's a sudden and massive jump in the evaluation of both engines within a couple of moves. The game was apparently heading for a draw before that, but there must have been something pretty significant beyond the search horizon of both engines ...

Re: Why does Rubichess -2.1 play two losing moves starting with Nxd4 ?

A game that I was observing between Rubichess 2.1 Vs Komodo 12.1.1 (the free version) surprised that hell out of me and shocked me The answer is easy - it's cheesequeen time again...a tad longer answer would be that cheesequeen never has learnt how to set up anything correctly on his/her computer, ...

Re: Stockfish: Our lawsuit against ChessBase

You did not answer my question. The ICGA had at least a panel and a process. -- Srdja Houdini has been determined to be a clone via source code inspection, by a wide array of subject matter experts, including but not limited to: Me, Alayan, Cucumber, Rebel, Norman Schmidt, Vizvez, Terje, Connor, an...

Re: We are reaching the Max Odds that a top engine can give the top 3 GM's

Unfortunately the App seems to be not updated, so is certainly not NNUE version. ... I think that Contempt worked well enough in Stockfish before NNUE, so assuming that option is available on the iPhone version you could try playing it again at knight odds but with Contempt set to the maximum of 10...

Re: Stockfish handicap match - PART II -

I did once a kind of similar tests with the strongest available entity at that time, which was asmFish 2017-08-05. I let it play all permutations of 3P and even 4P (not finished) handicaps vs. AnMon 5.75 (2537 at CCRL Blitz) at 40/180 with W and B. (asmfish with max contempt 100) For this I used a t...

Re: Bricabrac and other download links

I forgot to turn off Whole Program Optimizations for the previous build and because of that the binaries provided can become unstable. Here is the new upload. https://www.mediafire.com/file/kn5wug3dg3ry5d4/BricPESTO1.zip/file Some feed back on this again. At least increment TC seems to work, but th...

Re: Crafty NNUE Chess Engine?

I tried to delete my post containing the source link but was unable to do so. I noticed in the FAQ, "Please note that normal users cannot delete a post once someone has replied." Apologies for my mistake. No disrespect to Dr. Hyatt was intended. I am one of the 'minor' authors of Crafty ( albeit, v...

Re: Amoeba vs Drofa - TCEC-S21-QL, a funny game

A funny game with a d7 pawn stuck to its original square, a poor Drofa losing all mobility and bringing all its pieces back to the 8th rank into a weird chess960 position at move 21, and a nice final mate. A nice game! Also Amoeba used always much less time in that game than Drofa (not sure if the ...
