Re: Banksia GUI released

Hi dear phhnguyen! Another feature request: In the Windows version, could you make tournament crosstable cells size and backgroung color customizable like in the macOS version? There is room for 4 rounds in the default setting, but so the crosstable becomes very large and I don't find a way to resi...

Re: Banksia GUI released

Cool, glad to be able to help reporting things. Here's another one: you said that tournament info is saved whenever there's a change in it, but I still don't see it updating after games are played which would imply that if my banksia process that's currently running crashes, or the whole system cra...

Re: Banksia GUI released

A few days ago I lost all such games. The GUI should keep its own engine running until Lichess ends the game with a sound, and not before! Banksia is currently making decisions based on its own GUI clock, and that is wrong! I have been working with Eduard on this issue, thanks Eduard! Just inform t...

Re: UCI's readyok: A mistake or a misunderstanding

There can be other reasons why an interface sends isready while the engine is supposed to be searching. BTW which interface is sending isready while the engine is searching? It is good to know its purpose. Banksia/BanksiaGUI do that! The purpose is to detect crash-stall when an engine does not quit...

Re: UCI's readyok: A mistake or a misunderstanding

I explain here my view/BanksiaGUI view, of course not for justification but for our understanding. Engine crashing happens quite often. Many crashes are stalls in which engines don’t quit but cease sending info to the chess GUI, even other things seem to be fine, the pipes between those engines-ches...

Re: Banksia GUI released

I have found another bug: saved games into the tournament .json get truncated by some weird reason. 90% of the games in my .json are like this: { "gameIdx" : 80, "gameMoves" : "b2b4 {+0.42/28 52776 42949352} e7e5 {+0.25/21 90731 58201166} c2c4 {+0.59/29 31169 25132663} ", "pairId" : 26500, "players...

Re: Banksia GUI released

This is a very interesting program. But where are the help / readme files? I'm interested in the Extreme Analysis, amongst other things, but an explanation would really help. Sorry, there is no help yet. I am quite lazy when writing is always a hard task! If someone can help, it is highly appreciat...

Re: Banksia GUI released

I've found another bug that makes banksia crash, at least on my system: If you have several of the new graphic options open (depth, nodes, elapsed time, etc) and you go to file > settings and uncheck them, the 1st one you uncheck will work ok, but the 2nd will make banksia crash. I can reproduce th...
