Re: Commercial Release of Ethereal 13.00 (NNUE) for AVX2 Systems

Zen 3 processors have native BMI instructions - you may want to update your advice here.

Do you have any test results against other engines?

Re: Stockfish with new NNUE architecture and bigger net released

Is anybody seeing a difference in processor behavior with this new net? For some reason when I go from 16 to 32 threads the processor (5950x) now won't do much boosting at all. At 16 threads it's at 4.1ghz; at 32, it's at like 3.6. This was not the behavior with the version from just a couple of day...

Re: Remote Engines SSH

Is there a way to use InBetween to pass uci commands to an engine? I'm trying to run Stockfish remotely and configure it to access Syzygy tablebases, and I can see in the log that Chessbase sends "setoption name" to the remote engine. It'd be nice to be able to specify them.

Re: FF2 verses SF, what are the important differences?

Perhaps off-topic; if so, please close or put in the right forum.

Let's say I wanted to rebase the FF2 code changes on the latest Stockfish dev version. How would I do that? Is there a set of tools that would let me do that automatically? Can I do it through github?

Re: Question to Shut Ctf Down posters

The place is a cesspool and nothing short of removing it will change the problems.

This is a computer chess forum, not a place for conspiracy theories and bald racism.

Re: Final Release of Ethereal, V12.75

Andrew - I think this an opportunity rather than a bad situation. SF seems to be abandoning work on the classical evaluation. All the search modifications are to suit NNUE, not classical eval. Komodo, too, appears to be heading in the NNUE direction. Why not focus on making Ethereal the strongest ha...

Re: Checking the backends with the new lc0 binary

Any sense of whether DX12 will be faster for 20x256 nets? My 2060 will struggle to keep up with the 30x384. :)
