Re: Banksia GUI released

First, thank you for developing Banksia. However, I would like to point out the following issue with Winboad-engines: When ticking "Auto play opening book moves" in Book/Egtb-settings, Banksia sends only the white moves to the engine playing white and the black moves to te engine playing black. See ...

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney March

The one thing I was unable to find out if Rustic actually played using its transposition table. (Not using it would make the engine at least 100 elo weaker.) As I always run Winboard with the -debug parameter, I can show you the PV's of Rustic in its game against WaDuuttie: <ICS:Rustic(2500)(C) kib...

rnbqkb1r/pp2p1pp/2pp1n2/5p2/2PP4/6P1/PP2PPBP/RNBQK1NR w KQkq - In my database, this position has the very unusual designation of "HD 4" in the Opening field. I guess it is a mistake, but I was wondering if there is a name for the opening terminating in this position. It gets played a lot, I have mo...

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney November

I used same dotnet construction on hgm's server giving no problems. So something is different. Maybe something has changed on your end. I know that you had a bad computer crash several months ago, and that you had to setup everything new on another PC, after this event you didn't play on HGM's serv...

Re: Tip of the month

This time a got a message at the end of the tourney that my tourney flag was reset, the last 3 months or so this didnt happen. I don't know if it has anything to do with being logged in or not, usually I stay logged in until the tournament is finished, and the engines from Folkert always stay onlin...

Re: Tip of the month

It doesn't. Can we work around this in an automated way? With 6+ systems this gets cumbersome :-) Actually it does (when you are still logged in at the end of the tourney). From the winboard log (at te start of the tourney): <ICS: mamer(49): WaDuuttie (1990) has joined tourney #1 32...
